Book Description/Synopsis:
After being introduced to the materials used in the projects, the reader will be given an introduction into how poetry (or prose/journaling) will be used throughout the book to inspire the stepped-out art projects. The author will begin each project with a writing prompt such as a quick haiku or a list of self attributes. From there, a mixed media project will be stepped out, each offering a unique technique such as an easy way to create a face, carving shapes from cardboard or making a journal with plaster and encaustic pages. At the end of each project the author will offer a Giving Back Idea - a suggestion on taking the theme of the project a step further to support a cause, surprise a loved one, send an anonymous uplifting note and more.
